I registered a dog with apbr back in may/09 through the internet her name is William's Snowflake apbr# VAG10203082219105300900001. I uploaded a five generation pedigree for her I was expecting to get a printed 5,6,or 7 generation pedigree back from you along with her reg. certificate and all i got was a 1 gen pedigree but on you flyer it says you can get up to a 7 gen. printed ped with registration. She is also registered with the sporting dog registry. How can I get a 7 generation printed pedigree sent out to me? I am also curious about how to get a trasfer of ownership paper for another dog that I got reg. by apbr but I gave this dog to another owner and feel that the information for that dog should be transfered over to the new owner. Thank you very much for your time and any help/ advice you can give me. mark

Hello

It may be that we did not receive the pedigree if it was either in an unsupported format like bmp or it was too large for an upload or a simple server hiccup. We definitely want to get this information recorded for you and will print as large a pedigree as possible up to 7 generations once received and completed. This will then be sent to you free as well as the information will be placed in the Family Profile available to you through your Family Profile disc. Due to the finicky nature of servers on the internet it may be best to email us a copy. You can send it to us at APBRMemberExpress@yahoo.com. The main thing when providing this is to insure that all the names and numbers are legible and complete as we require 100% accuracy in our research and recording. The easiest way to do this is by taking a high quality digital picture/scan. For over-sized pedigrees multiple pics/scans may be needed to capture all the information but this is fine as we can piece things together on this side.

In regards to ownership transfers these are easy and definitely will include any genealogical information available. The way to complete an ownership transfer is to go to the Family Profile disc we provided with your initial registration material and place it in your computer. After clicking on the Family Profile you will see two icons. Chose the Member Express icon and that will open a page that gives you access to a section that will allow for either an online transfer to be completed or a printable form that can be completed and sent by mail. Ownership transfers are free as an APBR member benefit. If you have lost your disc let us know and we will provide some direct links as well as send you another disc as you definitely want to have it as it allows you to keep an ongoing track of your Pit Family and its growth as well as access other member benefits and services.

Also when corresponding we would like to encourage you to set up an account on our other social network service located at www.PitBullSocial.com as it is more for registry services and support. Pit Bull Social is a general social network meant to cover the full range of Pit Bull topics and interest, whereas this service here at Pit Bull Resource Network is more intended to be a service to help Pit Bulls in need and those who serve them such as with rescues, shelters, advocacy groups, volunteers and people needing assistance re-homing their Pit Bulls.

Great. We are always looking for Pit Bull resources. The focus of this service it to help Pit Bulls in need. We are tired of hearing the over-population cliche and all the people using it not really doing anything proactive to making a difference. Overpopulation in the Pit Bull community is really a myth used by many rescues and shelter to justify their existence and the taking of tax payer money. The truth is, is that there has historically been a lack of coordination of resources to see that Pit Bulls in need go to homes that are available and want them. Less than 15% of animals in need come from a shelter or rescue. This means that 85% come from breeders and that there is an ongoing and growing market for new pets and Pit Bulls. This service seeks to change the dynamics of animal welfare assistance by creating a coordinated community of resources. One of the main resources for the Pit Bull is the community of Pit Bull owners and enthusiasts.
